# Complementary products The complementary products section displays related items powered by Shopify’s Search & Discovery app. When configured, it shows products that naturally pair with the current product to encourage add-on purchases and improve conversion. #### Header Controls the visibility of the section header above the complementary products. #### Direction Defines the layout direction of complementary products on desktop. Set to “Row” to display products horizontally; mobile always uses a column layout. #### Heading The title shown for the section. Leave blank to use the theme default. #### Subheading Optional supporting text displayed below the heading. Leave blank to use the theme default. #### Product limit Sets the maximum number of complementary products to display. Default is 10. #### Show divider Toggles a visual divider to separate the section from surrounding content for improved layout clarity. #### Vertical spacing Controls the overall spacing around the section to adjust its visual separation from other elements. #### Vertical spacing (desktop) Sets the vertical spacing applied on desktop devices.
